My good friend Elizabeth Swann has introduced me to my latest addiction/obsession...the World Cup!! Yesterday we went to BC's Pizza for great beer, yummy pizza, and the France vs. Mexico game.
(single ladies side note: BC's Pizza during the World Cup, is swarming with men!! And they are more than willing to answer rookie soccer fan questions!)
Today I was up at 6:30 am to watch the USA vs. SVN (Slovenia). I'm NEVER up at 6:30!! It was the largest populated country in the tournament (USA) versus the smallest populated and geographic country in the tournament (SVN). 485 Slovenias would geographically fit in the US. Its itty bitty! Despite their size they played well, giving USA a run for its money!
I'm hooked!! The sport, the passion, the fan (check out their costumes)!! LOVE IT!
Today at 2pm, I will be watching the ENG vs. ALG (Algeria)!! And I am torn about who to cheer on...I like ENGLAND (cute players and good accents), but the USA needs ALG to win!! Ugh what to do!!!
